What I’ve Learned from My Dog

by Linnea Johnson --------------------

***Take the leash to the max. Go to the perimeter, the edge. Push it. Check again and again. ---------------

***Tempered trust. Bite out of the ear. Golden fall day. Thirsty. Out in front of a car. Rescue dog. Me. White crib. Six months old. Smiling. ------------

***Look out the window a lot. Nap. ------------

***Eat all you can when it comes to you. When will there be more? Save bones. Bury them. Remember.----------------------

***Chase for fun. Run full out.-----------

***You are a large dog if you think you are. You are a lap dog for the right lap.----------------

***Parfait dog. Perfect dog: Layered breeds. Terrier sparkles in every layer. ----------------

***Your lick can heal a variety of wounds.
